In keeping with tradition, here is our 'decorating the tree' video. Sadly Leroy didn't make his guest appearance like in years past. 2010. 2011.

This year is proving to be even more exciting than years past. When Charlotte sees the holiday decor she lights up and shouts "Christmas!" We have even discussed getting her ears pierced. We have been invited to a breakfast with Santa along with some other military families at the mall. Anytime I mention having breakfast with Santa she brings up how we are going to get earring and how it is going to hurt {since I have been trying to warn her that there is most likely going to be some pain involved}.

Shannon,
Was searching for my GF's blog and came across yours. Enjoyed reading your posts and especially about
your girlie girl wanting earrings. I had a similar experience with my 2+ year old who was also fascinated with my earrings. She would watch me put them in and ask why she couldn't do the same. She
wasn't dissuaded when I told her about possible discomfort having them done.
I asked our ped and she encouraged me to do her when I could care for them. She gave me some tips for moms having both dd's ears pierced which included some OTC meds to minimize any discomfort. This might help your dd have them done avoiding a traumatic experience. They worked great for us.
Think if your thinking and talking about it, then your mommy intuition is telling now is best to her ears pierced now. Promise she'll look adorable in her upcoming holiday pictures with little earrings. so she can be girlie girl.
Write me for our ped's tips if you'd like.
